Make Room for What Matters

'In my basement lived an unruly place. A storage room that became a cavern of stuff. It was a place that I avoided and when I had to visit, I usually left feeling irritated and overwhelmed at the thought of having to meet all that stuff again one day. One day, I found the courage to enlist Room to Breathe's assistance. I can't say it was an easy process, but she certainly brought a sense of flow and skillful know-how that encouraged me to think toward the end goal. After it was done, I found myself happily wandering the room, reveling in the new sense of space, and loving grabbing something off a shelf or out of a box - knowing its exact location.'

It was an amazing experience working with Room to Breathe and seeing how perfectly suited home organizing is to them. In a matter of mere moments we had already filled donation bags, recycle bags, eco centre bags and boxes and were well on our way. I thought it would be very overwhelming and it wasn't. Both ladies kept checking in on me to see if I was doing ok with the process and I was so excited I just wanted to keep going. I am so proud of our home now and it is so simple to keep it up. Everything really really does have it's place - and it's labelled!

'We reached out to Room to Breathe when we needed help setting up an apartment for my elderly father in Calgary. We live in Vancouver, and needed someone to liaise with IKEA in Calgary to organize furniture pickup and delivery. Indianna and her team oversaw delivery and installation, as well as provided a trip to my fathers home to pick up furniture, pictures, and personal effects to be delivered to the care home. In no time at all they had organized his closet, colour coded his clothing, filled the kitchen cupboards with dishes, and set up his suite ready to receive my father. At the end, they took away all the packing material and we didn’t have to lift a finger. The whole experience was stress-free thanks to Room to Breathe.'
